SPECIMEN FISH RULES

Follow this link to see details of specimen fish that have been advised to the Webmaster so far this Season.

1.

Specimen fish will only be eligible for Association records or annual awards when captured on Association waters.

2.

Annual awards for specimen fish will be presented annually for the year commencing 1st February and ending the following 31st January.

3.

Specimen forms must be forwarded to the Trophy Steward by 1st February to qualify for awards for the previous year.

4.

Specimen fish must be weighed at the waterside and there must be at least one witness.

5.

All fish must be returned alive to the water from which they were taken.

6.

Minimum weights for specimen fish are as follows:

 

Bream

4lb 0oz

Carp

10lb 0oz

 

Chub

3lb 0oz

Crucian Carp

1lb 8oz

 

Dace

0lb 6oz

Eel

2lb 0oz

 

Gudgeon

0lb 2oz

Perch

2lb 0oz

 

Pike

15lb 0oz

Roach

1lb 0oz

 

Rudd

0lb 12oz

Tench

4lb 0oz

7.

Scales for weighing specimen and record fish must be graduated to read pounds and ounces directly and permit the user to weigh fish to the nearest 1/2 ounce.

8.

With effect from 1 May 2000, Crucian Carp caught from Cinderford Pond will not be accepted as either specimen or record fish.
