David Sambara looks well pleased, and so he should be, with this fine 5lb 10oz Tench from the Cuckmere on day 2 of the new 2006 season.  Hope there were lots more this year David.

Del Smith's chunky Mirror Carp weighed in at 18lbs 10oz.  early in the 2006 Season from the Cuckmere.  Not entered it as a specimen Del?

Here's a bright smiling Frankie with a nice Batbrook Pond Carp earlier this month.  Catching tiddlers on a single maggot until this came along!  Nice to see youngsters enjoying the sport.

Ross Markwick with a smashing 15lb 14oz Mirror lump from Curl's Farm. Caught just before dusk off the eastern end of the island with a 21mm Marine Halibut pellet on a bolt rig, it was finally landed 20 minutes later in the dark!

The next day Ross added one of Curl's Farm healthy looking Common Carp weighing in at 13lbs, this time from the western end of the island on a 15mm Halibut pellet with a bolt rig taking some 12 minutes to land.

Your Webmaster occasionally goes fishing too!  Nice condition 8½ lb Mirror from Curl's Farm 24th September 2005, caught float fishing on 5lb main line.

8lb Carp from Hempstead middle pond, caught on legered corn by new member Andrew Neill on 16th July 2005.  He didn't have a ruler but the phone is 11 cm long!

4lb 3oz Tench caught on 21st June 2005 downstream of middle bridge on hair rigged halibut pellet.  (Shirley caught two others also - all in superb condition like the one you see)

Here's D Simpson, snapped in 2001 cradling his really muscular looking Mirror Carp that came out of  Wallers Haven at over 19lbs - just look at the paddles on that!  What's it weigh now I wonder?
